Taco Bell to give away PlayStation Vitas starting this month

Posted: January 11, 2012

Sony and Taco Bell have announced a new promotion, starting later this month, where the two companies will be giving away a PlayStation Vita to customers (and entrants) every 15 minutes.

The “Unlock the Box” promotion, as it’s called, is set to kick off on January 26 and will last until March 11. Sony says that there will be three ways to score a free PlayStation Vita: purchase a “$5 Buck Box” at participating locations and enter the code online, submitting  a photo and/or a video of yourself “boasting” abouthow far you would go to win a PlayStation Vita, or by loading up the Taco Bell mobile app and playing the “Reality Fighters Dojo” minigame.

Should you win from any of the three options for entry, you’ll receive a PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi system, a 4GB PS Vita memory card, the PS Vita exclusive Little Deviants, and your choice of ModNation Racers: Road Trip, MLB 12 the Show, or LittleBigPlanet. The PlayStation Vita isn’t due out until February 22, so you’ll have to wait until then to pick up your free loot.

what I think actually happened is that they had more winners then what they expected so they came up with a bogus story so they wouldn't have to give out the vitas! now you know you'll get the second chance with no chance of winning at all…. yup I was one of tjhose "winners".
