Zooey Deschanel’s Financial Details Revealed During Divorce Process

As previously reported by our own Kim LaCapria, (500) Days of Summer actress Zooey Deschanel split with her husband of two years, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, back in November.

Now the former couple is making the breakup official as TMZ reports the two signed divorce papers on December 27, 2011, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.

In addition to announcing Deschanel’s divorce, TMZ also released details from the financial documents Zooey’s lawyer submitted in conjunction with the filing.

The papers (seen here) detail exactly how much Zooey has in assets, how much she makes through her various projects, and how much she spends every month on clothes, charities, utilities and food and so on.

Here is a quick break down of Zooey Deschanel’s finances:

- Deschanel earns a monthly paycheck of $95,000 for the freshman Fox sitcom New Girl.

- She’s listed $1,578,000 in the bank, $1,645,000 in stocks and $693,300 in property, bringing her total net worth to $3,916,300.

As for her monthly expenditures ($22,550 according to the documents), Deschanel spends:

• $1,000 in groceries
• $500 for eating out,
• $2,000 for clothes
• $600 for laundry and cleaning
• $1,500 in charitable contributions

Deschanel, 31, also listed three credit cards, each with a $0 balance.

Besides the release of Zooey’s private financials, the couple has stayed silent on their break-up. Gibbard will be overseas for the first half of 2012 touring with Death Cab for Cutie.

Deschanel, meanwhile, is staying busy with her new hit show “New Girl,” singing with her band She & Him and working on her website Hello Giggles.
