A Massachusetts used-car dealership found itself on the wrong side of the internet’s collective sense of justice, after video of its employees hassling a pizza delivery guy went viral.

The Boston Globe reports that Palace Pizza delivery driver Jarrid Tansey delivered an order totaling $42 and some change to F&R Auto Sales in Westport on Saturday. Employees at the dealership paid with two twenties and two fives – $50 – and Mr. Tansey went back to work with what he thought was a generous, though certainly not outlandish, $7 tip.

However, apparently the dealership actually meant to stiff him, but rather than view the mishap as a teachable moment about being clear when you want change and then cutting their losses, employees at the dealership called the driver’s manager to complain, and to make the delivery guy bring their $7 back.

When the driver returned, the staff at the dealership got into a heated exchange with the driver, complete with obscenities coming from the mouths of both parties, and it was all captured on video — footage that appears to be captured by a security camera in the dealership’s office.

“It just doesn’t make sense why you’d hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway. I’m not mad, I just had to waste my resources coming back here.”

An unidentified worker then takes exception to the driver’s pleas for understanding.

“So listen: The manager apologized once for you. Do you want him to apologize again for you?”

And then the threats of violence begin.

“Out the door before I put my foot in your a**.”

And when the delivery driver is out of the office, the employees still aren’t happy.

“Get the f—ing owner and the manager on the phone, I want that mother-f—er done. I want him fired.”

Manager Adam Willoughby confirms that his pizza place has had a series of continuous problems with F&R Auto Sales, which begs the question: Why do they continue to accept their business?

“This isn’t the first time we have had problems with F&R Auto.”

However, Willoughby also stated that the car dealership’s owner wanted to make things right: the owner and his son personally came to apologize.

For F&R Auto Sales, however, the damage had already been done. According to Raw Story, several snarky commenters bombarded F&R’s Facebook page with terrible reviews.

“I bought a car from here and there were 2 dead hookers in the trunk. I asked for 3!”

The video was originally posted to YouTube, although as of this post, it is unclear who put the video up and how they had access to what seems to be private security camera footage. However, the video has since been removed from public view. But no bother: it’s also been posted on Liveleak, which has… less stringent standards about which videos are allowed to stay up than YouTube.
