Angelina Jolie Dresses Casual At AFI Awards, Takes Cue From Shiloh/John

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the AFI Awards on Friday night, and all eyes were on the power couple, per usual. According to Gossip Cop, the two walked the red carpet at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills before the show. Jolie’s film, Unbroken, was one of 11 films honored at the 15th annual event.

According to Yahoo! News, Angelina Jolie wore a tuxedo blazer and skinny jeans, which isn’t really a common outfit worn at an award show. Perhaps taking a cue from her child Shiloh (who reportedly prefers to be called John), Jolie showed off a different side of fashion. She kept it trendy, but she still looked great. Shiloh/John always dresses like a boy, and prefers to wear suit jackets and slacks as opposed to skirts and dresses like sisters Zahara and Vivienne.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been in the news quite a bit lately. Aside from Jolie promoting Unbroken (and coming down with the chickenpox), the couple has been making headlines because of John/Shiloh. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the couple has decided to respect their child’s wishes, and call her/him John. The two have both spoken out about how their first biological child likes to dress like a boy, and really relates to her/his brothers.

And while John/Shiloh might feel more comfortable as a boy, it is possible that he/she just has a unique style — not unlike Jolie. The actress has been known to wear a killer pantsuit from time to time, and she is just as comfortable dressing down (or “like a boy”) as anyone else. She has proven that glam doesn’t always come in the form of a little black dress and smoky eye makeup. People seem to really like Jolie’s style regardless of what she’s wearing, and Shiloh/John could be following in mom’s footsteps in that respect.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expected to attend other award shows this season, and Jolie will more than likely be wearing a gown of some sort, but who knows?
