Giada De Laurentiis Hooked Up With John Mayer? Alleged Fling Blamed For Divorce
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, popular Food Network celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis stunned fans by officially announcing the end of her marriage via her Facebook page.
“[T]odd and I have decided to end our marriage. Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths.”
De Laurentiis stated that she and her husband agreed to an “amicable” separation in July.
At the end of her announcement, Giada thanked friends and family members for their support during a “time of change” for her family.
Giada and Todd married in 2003 have a 6-year-old daughter together named Jade Marie.
Unfortunately for De Laurentiis, the separation and divorce will only serve to fuel lengthy rumors of infidelity on her part.

In 2009, Giada De Laurentiis popped up on Crazy Days And Nights or CDAN as a “blind item”. The gossip site claimed that she had a fling with “B-List singer” John Mayer.
A couple of years later, CDAN claimed outright that the persons they were referring to were indeed Giada De Laurentiis and John Mayer.
De Laurentiis addressed the accusations of infidelity in 2011.
“The John Mayer incident was completely unexpected,” said Giada. “I was shocked. And not so much for me, but for my husband and family.”
Giada De Laurentiis said at the time that she hadn’t spoken to John Mayer “in three years” after being introduced.
“I think the only things that could have possibly have tied us together is that we were at the same hotel that weekend in question [when the alleged fling took place.”
Aside from being in the same place at the same time, De Laurentiis insisted that nothing happened. She also mentioned that her husband Todd was at the hotel with her during the time of the alleged affair.
However, with the divorce happening, cheating rumors have once again come back to haunt the popular TV chef.
RadarOnline claims that there were “cracks in the marriage for years,” with John Mayer being a BIG one.
A supposed eyewitness told Star magazine that Mayer and De Laurentiis did hook up when their paths crossed at the Boom Boom Room at The Standard hotel. The two left the room “moments apart” and supposedly checked into a different hotel for their one night stand.
The tabloid report seemed to “confirm” the blind item first posted by CDAN and many gossip circles are treating the rumors as definite proof that Giada sabotaged her own marriage by cheating on her husband.
There are claims that Todd was deeply embarrassed by rumors of Giada’s infidelity. His feelings are said to be what led to the divorce.

According to the rumor-busting site, RadarOnline and sister publication Star made up the entire story.
Gossip Cop said there was no verifiable proof that anyone saw Giada and John together and allegedly the famous Food Network star wasn’t even AT the Boom Boom Room on the night the eyewitness said the pair was together.
Despite this, rumors that Giada De Laurentiis is going to be divorced because of unfaithfulness to her husband Todd persist.
