One Direction: Did Niall Horan Really Leave The Group?

Is Niall Horan leaving One Direction? Could the 21-year-old singer be leaving the group to start a solo career?

Many One Direction fans may have panicked recently due to viral rumors claiming that Niall Horan would be leaving the rest of the guys behind.

The rumors were reportedly started through the official Twitter accounts of Yahoo! Celebrity UK and Sugarscape on Sunday, December 28.

It did not take long for the hashtag #ReasonsNiallLeftOneDirection to become a viral, trending topic on Twitter shortly after those tweets were posted.

However, Hollywood Life reported on Monday that both social media profiles were actually hacked, and the posts in reference to Niall Horan truthfully did not come from those sources.

According to the report, an official rep of One Direction confirmed to Hollywood Life that the rumors about Niall Horan leaving the group are false.

Both sources, Yahoo! Celebrity UK and Sugarscape, also confirmed the hack, and squashed the rumors about Niall Horan through their official Twitter accounts on Monday morning.

Just to confirm, Niall is NOT leaving One Direction. We were hacked, innit. #reasonsniallleftonedirection pic.twitter.com/YRVfSYe5x7

Niall Horan and the rest of One Direction (Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles) were first exposed to the public eye as a group during the 2010 season of the British X Factor.

Even though they finished in third place during the seventh season of the show, Simon Cowell signed One Direction to Syco Records, and the rest was history.

Each of the guys of the group have their own established fan base, in addition to the fans that simply love One Direction overall. Many fans and critics feel that Niall Horan has played an instrumental role in the success of the group overall in recent years.

What do you think? Would One Direction be the same if Niall Horan did, in fact, decide to leave?
