Cringe: Pick-Up Artists Try (And Fail) To Seduce News Anchor On Live TV [Video]

You know what happens when a morning talk show invites pick-up artists for four whole minutes of seduction lessons? Cringe – that’s what happens!

This three-year-old video began making rounds online last week, with Reddit’s subreddit /r/cringe giving the video thousands of upvotes this month.

So basically, these pick-up artists from a summit (yes, they have a summit) try to smooth-talk KTLA’s Jessica Holmes and needless to say, things don’t end up well for the poor guys. Watch the cringe-inducing video below:

Cringiest moment? When one of the main anchors point out that one of the pick-up artists is wearing a wedding ring. Oooh!

While there is nothing wrong with training oneself to become more confident in front of girls, having to subscribe to “seduction” techniques can actually make one appear scripted and ingenuine. Psychology Today offers more decent ways to help guys talk to girls without appearing desperate.

Psychologist Jerry Nicholson writes, “Ask them to do you a favor and increase their liking for you. Ask them a question and get them to earn your affection. Or, just make a statement and see whether they react. In any case, you will break the ice, keep your ‘footing’ of power, and have a better shot at getting a date!”

In other words, being yourself and trying to be more confident (without being arrogant) is the best way to get women to notice you.
