Kendall Jenner’s ‘Low Key’ Sweet 16 Party Features Fire Dancers, Tyga Concert

Kendall Jenner is sick of being spoiled. In Kendall’s Sweet 16 special, which aired Monday night, Kim Kardashian’s little sister fought with her mom about the over-the-top birthday plans.

US Magazine reports that Kris Jenner wanted to bring the party down to the Bahamas but Kendall just wanted a small party at a lavish hotel in West Hollywood.

Kendall said:

“You’re trying to make this bigger and bigger and it’s embarrassing me. You’re just giving me this [over-the-top party], you’re just handing me this and I don’t want it!”

Kendall did, however, gladly except a new Range Rover from her parents Kris and Bruce Jenner. But that’s all she wanted. She didn’t want some elaborate party. All Kendall Jenner wanted for her sweet 16 was a new range rover and a party that featured dancers twirling fire and a performance by rapper Tyga. That’s it.

Kendall told the NY Post:

“I honestly don’t like being the center of attention. It’s just not me. I like being like laid back and being able to be a kid who goes to school…. I want this to kind of be a low-key party. I don’t want this to be huge.”

Kendall’s objection to a lavish party might seem a little hypocritical, but the young Kardashian did encourage guests to give presents to sick children at Children’s Hospital of LA instead of her.

Kendall said:

“For my mom to be like, ‘Oh, we’re going to have this huge, extravagant party,’ and to think those kids can’t even go to a party because they’re sitting in a hospital bed, it’s just really sad.”

Kendall also handed out gift bags containing more than $1000 worth of swag to all of her guests.
