Nathaniel Kibby Indicted On 205 Charges: Allegedly Made Victim Wear Shock Collar

Nathaniel Kibby of Gorham, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged in July for abducting a then 14-year-old girl.

It was previously reported by the Inquisitr that Kibby’s alleged victim had initially kept the identity of the man who abducted her a secret. In fact, Nathaniel Kibby was only arrested after the teen changed her mind about refusing to name the person behind her October 2013 disappearance.

Many wondered why she would keep the identity of Nathaniel Kibby a secret from law enforcement. Apparently the teen refused initial cooperation because of fear.

She claims that Nathaniel Kibby threatened to kill anyone she confessed to about his identity and her ideal. Kibby allegedly emphasized this point by pointing a rifle at her. The victim said that Kibby threatened to kill her with the rifle multiple times during her forced imprisonment.

Nathaniel Kibby was said to have forced the teen to leave with him by threatening to harm her with a taser.

The 34-year-old suspect was formally indicted on Wednesday and will have to answer to over 200 charges, including aggravated felonious sexual assault, second-degree assault, criminal threatening, indecent exposure and kidnapping. But these do not begin to cover the emotional trauma said to have been suffered at the hands of Nathaniel Kibby.

Among other acts of violence, Nathaniel Kibby is alleged to have forced his teenage victim to wear an anti-bark dog collar. The collar is said to have scarred the victim’s neck. It was just one method authorities claimed Nathaniel used in order to force his victim silent.

According to court documents, Kibby is thought to have placed a gag in the teen’s mouth to stop her from speaking or screaming. He is also thought to have taped her eyes shut and placed a motorcycle helmet on her head to keep her from seeing. The victim was said to have been carefully bound with zip ties by Kibby as well.

The teenage girl is said to have endured months of physical and emotional torture, all of which is said to have contributed to her reluctance to directly accuse Nathaniel Kibby of kidnapping and harming her.

Court records state that at one point, Nathaniel Kibby put a gun in the victim’s hand and told her that it would be better if she killed him than admit to anyone what he had done.

These disturbing allegations of physical and psychological torture certainly explain the great level of care that the alleged victim’s family and attorney have taken in shielding her from public scrutiny.
