Eddie Redmayne And Hannah Bagshawe Wed In A ‘Winter Wonderland’ Ceremony

Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe married in a candlelit service on Monday, December 15. The couple tied the knot at Babington House in Somerset, England.

The theme of the wedding was “Winter Wonderland,” according to an exclusive report by Us Weekly. Hannah walked down the aisle in a room lit by candles in an evening ceremony. Close friends and family of Redmayne and Bagshawe were there to celebrate with the pair. Eddie’s fiancee was in charge of the wedding planning.

Eddie joked to the Daily Mail that Hannah wanted to decorate with something borrowed from the movie studios.

“Hannah’s like: ‘Well, you work at Pinewood studios — can’t you fix up some fake snow?'”

Redmayne opened up to E! News about planning for the wedding.

“The plan is a winter wedding. We’re in the thick of that at the moment. You only get one shot arranging a wedding, so we’re doing our best. We’ve planned this long in advance, so it’s the most wonderful thing.”

Eddie did not feel cold feet either.

“I’m desperate. I’m chomping at the bit. I can’t wait to be married.”

2014 has been a busy year for Eddie. Redmayne stars as Stephen Hawking in his most recent film, The Theory of Everything. The role earned Eddie nominations for both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards, and is generating Oscar nomination buzz. Felicity Jones plays Hawking’s first wife, Jane Wilde.

2015 will be just as packed for the former model. Redmayne will play Balem Abrasax in Jupiter Ascending alongside Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, which releases in early 2015, as covered by the Inquisitr. Eddie will also star in The Danish Girl, in which he plays a woman undergoing gender reassignment surgery.

Eddie felt a lot of pressure playing Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

“I’m not gonna lie, the pressure felt pretty intense. The fact that [Hawking and his first wife] enjoyed the film was a great award.”

The couple have been together for nearly three years. Eddie proposed less than a year ago. Redmayne announced the engagement publicly in The UK Times newspaper.
