‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ Diva? Bethenny Frankel Won’t Film ‘Fake’ Scenes For Series

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 production is underway, but unfortunately, filming hasn’t been going very smoothly because of Betheny Frankel and her “bratty” behavior. According to a new report, Frankel was “standoffish” during a recent celebration for her co-star, Sonja Morgan, who appears on the latest cover of Latino Show Magazine.

At the event, Frankel reportedly went out of her way to make it difficult for producers to capture good footage of herself and the rest of the cast — even though Morgan, as reported by the Inquisitr, has spoken highly of Frankel since her return.

“It was the first big public event that Bethenny has filmed (since making her comeback). It’s Sonja’s big moment because she’s on the cover of the magazine,” a source told the New York Daily News on December 15. “In marches Bethenny Frankel, dodging the paparazzi outside, refusing all the interviews, refusing to be photographed. She was even giving the Bravo team problems when they were trying to set up shots, too. The Bravo team’s job is to set up conversations and to direct and create the action to some degree. So Bethenny was trying to stonewall them every chance she’d get.”

As the Inquisitr reported in October, Frankel announced her return to The Real Housewives of New York City after months of speculation. However, her return doesn’t appear to be what producers were hoping for.

“For example, when they asked Bethenny to come join Sonja and a group of her friends to leaf through the magazine and “Ooh” and “Ahh,” Bethenny refused, saying, ‘I’m not an actress.’ She basically said, ‘I’m not going to do this; it’s fake.’ She’s a problem on the set.”

Making matters worse on set is the fact that Frankel’s reported $250,000-per-episode paycheck seriously cut into those of her co-stars, including LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer’s earnings.

“Everybody knows that Bethenny grabbed a big chunk of LuAnn’s (de Lesseps) paycheck, and LuAnn got demoted; a big chunk of Ramona’s (Singer) paycheck, and Ramona got demoted,” said the source. “She basically clawed her way to the top of the salary ladder on the backs of LuAnn, Ramona and the other Housewives who didn’t get the raises that they normally would have gotten.”

The report claimed Frankel’s Real Housewives of New York City co-stars were so upset about their pay cuts that they were limiting their time with Frankel.

“Carole Radziwill and the Countess (de Lesseps) are so upset over it that they’re trying to limit their camera time with Bethenny.”

In response to the report, a Bravo spokesperson said, “There is no truth to that.”

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 is expected to return to Bravo next year.
