‘Terminator Genisys’ Trailer: Fan-Made ‘Paradox Edition’ Makes It Hilarious! [Video]
The Terminator Genisys trailer released earlier this month was an entertaining prospect. One fan, however, started noticing things in the series that made less sense the more they thought about it. The “Paradox Edition” pokes fun at everything that has made the franchise ridiculous since James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
A clever voice-over rings out as John Connor tells the troops what he’s done so far, and the more he explains it, the more ridiculous it sounds.
“I look at each of you, and I see a lot of confusion about how we got here. We all knew the day would come when I would send a man back in time to stop a terminator from killing my mother, Sarah Connor. That day is today.
“Last week, Skynet sent back a more advanced terminator to kill me ten years after I was born. That’s why I sent back a less advanced terminator to stop that one, who not only succeeded, but stopped judgment day and became my friend. [That prompted] Skynet to send back an even more powerful terminator than the previous terminators, which I dealt with this morning by sending back an even less advanced terminator.”
As John continues to narrate the trailer, the concept begins sounding dumber, and in this fan-made Terminator Genisys trailer he announces he’s sending a man back in time to get his mother pregnant so he will exist.
John tells his chosen soldier Kyle Reese how awkward it is, and he wishes he could send him back with pants, “but the technology just isn’t there yet.”

Soon the video gets even more hilarious, despite the new Sarah Connor crashing a truck into a store and rehashing Arnold’s original line, “Come with me if you want to live.”
By the end of the fan-made Terminator Genisys trailer, Sarah tells Kyle to stop trying to have sex with her.
