Leah Messer Leaving ‘Teen Mom’ Because Of Bad Pill Addiction?
Leah Messer announced that she is leaving MTV’s Teen Mom 2 last week, and a new report out suggests that it could be because she is struggling with addiction. Rumors that the mom of three had a dependency on pills have popped up from time to time, but if the rumors are actually true, this could be the reason Leah needs to step out of the spotlight. According to InTouch Weekly, the dramatic decision to leave the show could be because Leah is afraid of losing custody of her kids because of her alleged addiction.
“We think Leah could be taking powerful painkillers including Lortab and Percocet. They are very easy to get on the streets in her hometown,” said a source.
Leah Messer has made some not-so-subtle hints on the show about being on drugs. According to Radar Online, a previous episode of Teen Mom 2 showed the reality star dozing off while talking to her daughter’s doctor, and “mumbling incoherently.” She also admitted to feeling “really weird,” like a “druggy.” Since her ex, Corey Simms, is seeking full custody of the couple’s twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, Leah is reportedly starting to worry that the show is going to sway the judge’s decision in the case. By leaving the show, Leah hopes to show that she is serious about being a mom, and putting her children first (she also has a daughter, Addalyn, 21 months, with husband Jeremy Calvert).
“Leah’s daughters are her number one priority. Now that the show could lead her to lose custody, she’s ready to leave her reality TV life behind,” a source explained.
Leah Messer has had tons of other serious things go on in her life lately. She is currently dealing with some marital drama involving a potential cheating scandal. And, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, the MTV star was facing a tax lien. Apparently she and Jeremy Calvert have been having some serious money troubles, something that leaving Teen Mom 2 is not going to fix, but the two will hopefully figure things out.
