‘Teen Mom 2’ Will Not Include Leah Messer, Wishes Co-Stars Best

Teen Mom 2 is set to come back for a sixth season, and there has been some speculation about whether or not the new season would include Leah Messer-Calvert. With so many rumors swirling around, fans finally got their answer on Friday morning.

Rather than issuing a statement through MTV or even a tabloid, Leah took to Twitter and answered a fan who asked if she would be back for another season of Teen Mom 2. The fan probably didn’t get the answer that she was looking for when Leah admitted that she would not be back for Season 6. Of course, fans started to wonder what this means for the rest of the cast.

MTV is already bringing back the original Teen Mom with only three of the original cast members. Early next year, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood will return to the network to continue to share their stories. Farrah Abraham, who chose to take a different career path after the reality show ended, was not asked back for a new season. Despite Farrah’s absence, fans are still excited to see the other three girls come back to MTV, so will the same thing hold true for TM2?

There is no confirmation that any of the cast will return for a sixth season now that Leah Messer-Calvert has declined to sign on, but Jenelle Evans gave fans hope some hope through a tweet. When one fan assumed that none of the girls would be coming back for season six, Jenelle coyly replied, “don’t assume.” Leah optimistically replied to Jenelle’s tweet.

“I hope my girls continue to move on with TM2. I wish them the BEST xoxo.”

Leah Messer-Calvert appears sure that Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry will continue with Teen Mom 2, even without her. Of course, while the show would probably do fine without Leah, the mother of three has always brought interesting story lines to the show. Leah’s story was interesting because, unlike her co-stars, she was raising twin daughters from her previous marriage along with another daughter from her current marriage.

It is the current drama in her life that may have played a part in Leah’s decision to not go forward with a sixth season of the show. While the other girls haven’t had to deal with too much drama lately, Leah Messer is facing criticism from rumors that suggest she cheated on her husband. Not only that, but speculation that she and Jeremy Calvert will soon get a divorce have been running rampant. To top things off, Leah is also dealing with a custody battle with her ex-husband, Corey Simms, who wants full custody of the twins.

As of Friday morning, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry have not made a statement about their futures on Teen Mom 2. MTV also has yet to issue a statement regarding Leah’s remarks. As the Inquisitr previously reported, however, Jenelle Evans has made a statement.
