‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Episode 7: Will Paul Survive?
American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to air the seventh episode of the season on Wednesday night and, after Elsa Mars’ breakdown last week, fans are left wondering what will become of Paul. The title of the episode is “Test of Strength” and, if the title is any indication, then this episode may focus strongly on the character of Dell, who is touted as the “Strong Man.” Last week, fans weren’t too happy to see a lack of Dell on American Horror Story but it seems the show will make up for it this week. Aside from the title, the previews also suggest a strong story line for the Strong Man this week.
An official synopsis for Episode 7 of American Horror Story was released.
“In the ‘Test of Strength,’ the women of the Freak Show rally against Dell after his latest act of violence. A strange encounter with Dandy raises Jimmy’s suspicion about the clown murders.”
If you aren’t a fan of Dell, then perhaps the side plot this week involving Jimmy and Dandy will be of interest to you. If you haven’t been watching each episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show, then you may not be aware that Jimmy and Dandy have met twice before. However, Jimmy only recalls one previous encounter with the rich boy.
The two first met when Dandy attempted to run off to the freak show but was denied. After that, Dandy decided to team up with Twisty the Clown on a murderous rampage. It was Jimmy and Maggie, the fortune teller, who helped rescue the kids from the run down trailer in the woods, but Jimmy never actually saw Dandy’s face. On last week’s episode of American Horror Story, though, Dandy recounted the story to Dot and Bette, revealing that he knew Jimmy was there but denying that Jimmy had any part in saving anyone. Of course, Dot (who seems to have a crush on Jimmy) does not believe Dandy’s story. That, along with her diary entry, has angered Dandy. Jimmy hopes to retrieve the twins and take them back to the show.
Another interesting plot on American Horror Story: Freak Show will involve Paul, the Illustrated Seal. In last week’s episode he offered to be strapped to the spinning wheel while Elsa threw knives at it. While she succeeded in missing Paul on her first two attempts, her third knife pierced Paul in the stomach. It seems that Elsa did this on purpose and the fact that she never called a doctor only helps to perpetuate that belief.
According to Gold Derby, many fans believe that Paul will not live past Wednesday night’s episode. However, if he somehow survives his injury then fans have suggested that perhaps his girlfriend, Penny, may be the next to go. The preview for the new episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show does show her telling her father she plans to marry Paul, something that he is not pleased to hear.
Fans can hardly wait until a new episode of the show airs, so that may be why that talk of a script leak has some fans excited. As reported by the Inquisitr, one page of a future script is being shopped around and it could contain a huge spoiler for American Horror Story fans.
