Natalie Dormer Talks All Things ‘Game of Thrones’ In Latest Interviews

Natalie Dormer wasn’t a complete unknown in Hollywood before she joined The Game of Thrones. Despite being quite the accomplished actress, it seems likely the ultra-popular HBO series has boosted Dormer’s career somewhat and Natalie seems to understand this. While doing press junkets for her turn in the upcoming Hunger Games, Natalie has talked plenty about her long running series and what she expects to see in the very near future. Dormer also talked who the biggest divas of the cast were and how she would like to see her character die in some recent interviews.

Taking part in a Reddit AMA, the accomplished actress talked about a number of different things and the conversation got downright weird at times (as AMA’s often do) to the point where one question asked Natalie who Dormer would pick to accompany her in a Game of Thrones, Walking Dead crossover. When choosing those who she felt could protect her against a horde of the undead (something that might be needed at some point in her series) Natalie Dormer chose Pedro Pascal as the Red Viper, Rory McCann as the Hound, Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister.

No one knows for sure whether just how on the nose her pick of Jaime Lannister is, considering in The Walking Dead comic books, Rick only has one hand. When it came to who was the biggest diva on the set of Game of Thrones, Natalie Dormer didn’t actually throw any of her fellow human actors under the bus. The English actress said that Ser Pounce, the royal kitten was having an especially hard time hitting his mark during the one scene he was involved in during season 4. “Actually, Ser Pounce was a bit of a diva that day,” Dormer wrote. “He didn’t want to stay on the bed, he was very difficult to work with.”

Making an appearance on Conan, Natalie talked about how she would like to see her character go if she has to go at all. Dormer said that she’s already had one of her characters beheaded (as Ann Bolyn) and doesn’t want to be poisoned. In the end, Dormer said she would probably like to be taken out by a dragon. Natalie added that a White Walker (this show’s version of zombies) would also be a neat way to meet her end. While the actress would probably like to stay on Game of Thrones for as long as possible, the history of that show doesn’t bode all that well for Natalie Dormer or her character.
