‘The Big Bang Theory’ Pays Tribute To Carol Ann Susi
While Big Bang Theory fans never saw Carol Ann Susi in front of the camera, they will never forget hearing her voice.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, at the end of last night’s Big Bang Theory, a title card appeared that paid tribute to the late actress, who was best known as Howard Wolowitz’s mother, Debbie. This was in place of Chuck Lorre’s typical vanity card that appears for a brief second.
The card showed a picture of Susi and acknowledged how everyone laughed whenever they heard her shout at Howard.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, The Big Bang Theory actress passed away from cancer earlier this week at the age of 62. Aside from her work on the hit CBS show, Susi also appeared on Seinfeld, Grey’s Anatomy, and in movies such as Just Go With It.
Susi had previously stated that people didn’t recognize her in public, and there were no plans to have her go in front of the camera on The Big Bang Theory. However, some fans claimed that she might have made an appearance during Howard’s wedding in the episode titled “The Countdown Reflection.” But there are no angles that show her face.
Warner Bros. Television and Big Bang Theory producers Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro, and Bill Prady issued a statement regarding the passing of Susi, according to CBS.
“The Big Bang Theory family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz. Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show’s eight seasons. What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann’s immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance. In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly.”
Several of the show’s actors also paid tribute to the late actress on their Twitter pages.
