Syrian Hero Boy Rescues Girl While Under Sniper Attack, Amazing Video
Why would this young Syrian boy run towards a partially destroyed car, while under heavy sniper attack? The answer is simple: to rescue a terrified young girl stuck in the crossfire.
Although this video hasn’t been independently verified for authenticity, several national news organizations are showing the footage, which is simply amazing. If the events in the footage are indeed true, this Syrian boy is a true hero, after rescuing a clearly terrified girl from sure death.
In the ongoing civil war in Syria, there is no difference if you are a man, woman, or child. Those trying to win will go to any lengths to kill whoever stands in their way, as is painfully apparent in this footage.
The clip is only about a minute in length, but has already garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. The action you will see is the stuff that Hollywood movies are made of, only in this case, it is real. This young Syrian boy shows that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and can be found in the most unlikely places.
Without a proper translation of what is heard on the video, it appears to be a situation in which innocent civilians are escaping the attack. We see a man running for his life as the snipers start firing. Then it gets quiet. No fire. Only the voices of those who appear to be filming the events.
As the camera pans to the left a young boy is seen on the ground, trying to get up. At first, it is unclear whether the boy is injured, as he seems to struggle.
The Syrian boy finally gets up, but seconds later he falls again, after being shot. The men talking in the video appear to be calling for the child to get out of the way into safety. He is down and at this point it is unclear if he has been killed.
At this time, we don’t know what the young boy is doing and why he is risking his life in such a manner, but that question gets answered soon enough. After apparently playing dead so the snipers would stop shooting at him, he gets up and continues to run to the car.
The Syrian hero boy approaches the vehicle and soon enough the reason for his brave actions are revealed. He has come to rescue a girl wearing a pink shirt. His sister? His friend?
The girl is clearly terrified and she struggles to come out of hiding. He is unfazed and pulls her by the arm, as they run for their lives while the fire starts again. Watch the riveting footage.
