Murder Suspect Kills Self: 31-Year-Old Murder Suspect Commits Suicide During Traffic Stop

A murder suspect killed himself during a traffic stop on Monday. According to Fox News, 31-year-old Sean Petrozzino was suspected of killing his parents. On Monday night, police in Tennessee saw a vehicle that they believed was being driven by Petrozzino, so they pulled the vehicle over. After bringing the car to a stop, however, the driver killed himself. Police heard a “faint pop” before approaching the vehicle.

“Officers then discovered the driver had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. A responding officer did not fire his weapon,” reports Fox News.

Police believe that Sean Petrozzino, a quadruple amputee, shot and killed his mom Nancy Petrozzino, 64, and his dad, Michael Petrozzino, 63. Their bodies were found inside their home in Orange County, Florida. Police discovered the bodies during a “wellness check” and identified Petrozzino as the main suspect in the case. He was wanted for questioning but police had been unable to locate him.

“Deputies went to the home after colleagues at the school where Nancy Petrozzino taught second-grade became concerned when she didn’t show up. Michael Petrozzino worked at Walt Disney World.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, police warned the public about the suspect being potentially dangerous. A motive is still unclear but Petrozzino had a pretty tough life which could have led to depression. Not only did he have bacterial meningitis, but he has had money problems as well.

“The quadruple amputee underwent 13 surgeries after surviving bacterial meningitis. The infection forced doctors to remove his limbs. Petrozzino’s home in Georgia reportedly just went into foreclosure.”

The murder suspect who killed himself has been on the run since Nov. 4. According to My Fox Memphis, police are still investigating and, while they say that the suicide is connected to the Florida murder case, they have not confirmed that the man who killed himself is Petrozzino.

What is interesting is that police say that it would have been next to impossible for Petrozzino to actually pull the trigger on a gun without the use of a prosthetic. According to the report, a photo taken of Petrozzino at an ATM on the same day that his parents were shot show him without wearing any prosthetics on his hands. A spokesperson from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that it was unclear whether or not Petrozzino had prosthetics for his hands.
