Justin Bieber: Steve Wheatcroft ‘Withdrawing’ From PGA Event To Avenge Steelers ‘Curse’
Justin Bieber may need to beef up his security detail.
Professional golfer Steve Wheatcroft has threatened — likely, jokingly — to withdraw from a PGA event in order to focus on “tracking down” the singer for “cursing my Steelers.”
To recap: The 20-year-old singer swung by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ bible study session on Saturday night (November 8).
A thrilled quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, linebacker Arthur Moats, tight end Matt Spaeth and defensive end Cameron Heyward posted online photos with the Biebs. But Steelers fans ranted on Twitter about the “Justin Bieber curse” jinxing the game even before their team’s eventual, surprising 20-13 loss the next day.
Wheatcroft, who previously expressed his displeasure on Twitter on the same night Bieber turned up to the bible study, continued venting after the Jets’ humiliation of the Steelers at the Sunday game.
My steelers are definitely gonna lose tomorrow. Just saw that the team was hanging with Justin freakin Bieber tonight. Holy hell. #CmonMan

Then, this gauntlet.
I have withdrawn from next week’s event to focus all of my time & effort on tracking down Bieber & making him pay for cursing my steelers

While Bieber didn’t respond to Wheatcroft, other Steelers fans certainly weren’t shy about expressing their anxiety over the singer’s team bible study attendance before and after the Jets showdown.

Former quarterback Terry Bradshaw has also stepped into the Bieber “curse” debate with his take on whether the star should have been allowed to join the Steelers Bible Study the night before a game.
“It’s automatically assumed he’s a jinx. That’s ridiculous,” Bradshaw tells TMZ.
“Would Bieber be a disruption? Well, I wouldn’t have had him there,” he added.
The Hall of Famer continued, “The only time I recall the Steelers teams I played on letting outsiders worship with us was at the Super Bowl… and it was with our families because they traveled with us.”
Bradshow then noted that if “outsiders” are allowed to attend then “your focus isn’t where it should be.” He added, “If [Bieber] had been a part of the team from the beginning… fine. But a one-timer, no.”
So that’s a resounding ‘no’ from the Internet and observers to the Biebs’ at any future sports meets. But, at least he’ll have friendly memories of hanging with the players themselves.
The Inquisitr wonders what excuse teams use when they lose if Justin Bieber isn’t around?
Didn’t know he was a steelers fan, but welcome to steelernation @justinbieber pic.twitter.com/5Fktaq329D
