Britney Spears’ Dad Set Her Up With Her New Boyfriend Charlie Ebersol, Possible Reality Show In The Works
Britney Spears has a new boyfriend and he’s dad-approved.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the pop star and mother of two recently went public with her new man, writer and producer Charlie Ebersol, the son of former NBC Sports chief Dick Ebersol. Now, fans are learning how the two met.
According to a new report, Britney and Charlie met through Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears.
“Charlie had to pass the dad test for sure,” a long-time business friend of Jamie’s told the Mail Online on November 10. “And Charlie had to pass legal muster, too, with that mob of lawyers that run her world.”
Prior to Britney Spears’ relationship with Charlie, she dated David Lucado for 18 months. Lucado who was also introduced to her by Jamie. Before David, Britney was engaged to Jason Trawick, who had been introduced to her by her older brother, Bryan, in late 2007.
After David reportedly cheated on Britney, Jamie was determined to restore his daughter’s happiness with a much better man.
“Britney functions best with a man in her life, and Jamie knows that. He’s is good at selecting just the right candidates. They last a while. That’s all anyone can ask, really. Britney has a complicated life,” the source continued. “It took less than a month for Jamie to find Charlie. He eyeballed him from a distance at first. But after a few meetings together, Jamie knew he’d found a good guy.”
In early September, Jamie initially met Charlie after accepting a “pitch” meeting. Charlie, who co-founded the reality TV production house, The Company, sat across from Jamie at a conference table as he pitched his idea for a reality show starring Britney Spears and her team.
“The concept sounded good to Jamie, and I guess it seems that as the meetings advanced, Britney was brought in to meet Charlie. ‘Lo and behold there was chemistry there,” the source continued. “Charlie is very much like Britney. They make a good couple. He was born privileged. He gets the game. He gets her lifestyle. He gets her. They were raised the same, in the Industry. Big emphasis on family and giving back to charities, that sort of stuff. That’s what Jamie loves about him.”
According to the Inqusitr, Britney recently expressed her interest in having another child, preferably a baby girl.
“I would really like to have another baby, a girl. I think she would be like a mini-me,” Britney Spears told In Style. “I think it’s going to be crazy. I’m not going to feel as alone in the world anymore. I’m going to feel like I have a second person, like, that’s me.”
