Speidi’s Interesting Tribute

Tributes– of any kind– are meant to be respected, but I had to raise an eyebrow at Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s choice to honor Heidi’s step-brother Eric O’Hara, who died in late February. PEOPLE ran into Heidi and Spencer at a firing range earlier this week, where oh-so-classy Spencer threw in a joke before admitting their reason for being there:

“All the super soaker ranges were closed. Seriously, we’re learning in honor of Heidi’s step-brother. He loved guns and always wanted Heidi to become a great marksmen. We’re fulfilling his dream.”

I think that the splash-out on guns in June was leading up to this tribute. Something that has to do with Heidi and Spencer actually makes more sense? Take the time to marvel; this is a one-off for sure.
