Triple-Amputee Person Of Interest In Murder Of Parents: Armed And Dangerous Sean Petrozzino On The Run From Authorities

A triple-amputee is a person of interest in the murder of his parents who were found dead at their house Tuesday morning in Florida. Sean Petrozzino has a partial hand and is on the run from authorities. He’s considered to be armed and dangerous.

Michael Petrozzino, 63, and Nancy Petrozzino, 64, were discovered at their home in Orange County dead from gunshot wounds on November 4. Sean uses prosthetic legs and uses a portion of his hand. It’s believed that he killed his father, an employee at Walt Disney World, and his mother, an elementary school teacher.

The Orange County Sheriff aren’t calling Petrozzino a suspect yet but they’re very interested in speaking with him. At this point, authorities think the triple-amputee drove off in his father’s red Toyota Camry. He has no criminal history but is not someone the public should try approaching. Officers think he might be heading to south Florida.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Petrozzino, 30, moved in about a week ago with his parents after separating from his wife. Their house in Georgia is currently in foreclosure.

In a report by the Sun-Sentinel, Sean Petrozzino was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis in his teens. He had 13 surgeries done, which also involved removing both his legs, one hand, and half of the other hand. Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary School at the time held a fundraising event called “Strut Their Stuff for Sean” campaign. For two weeks, students collected pledges and worked off pledge money by doing hula-hoop, obstacle course, and jump-roping activities. The school presented Sean with a $6,216 check to help pay for medical expenses.

Petrozzino was 17 when all of that happened and he expressed his appreciation for the effort everyone showed.

“It was actually very surprising. I didn’t know any of them, but they all knew about me and wanted to help me. It’s a really good feeling.”

Now Petrozzino is on the run and a person of interest in the murder of his mother and father. No motive is revealed in the case. The couple were discovered after one of their employers called police because there was a no show for work. It’s not revealed whose employer inquired about the missing person.

Primitivo Vasquez was a neighbor of Sean Petrozzino’s the last 25 years in Georgia. He says Petrozzino and his wife used to keep to themselves unless it was small talk when they went out to walk their dog.

“He seemed normal. I never had a reason to worry about him,” Vasquez says. “I cannot imagine him doing something like this, I don’t think he would be able to.”

Police want to know what the triple-amputee has to say about the death of his parents and why he would run off after they discovered they were murdered.
