‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Jealous Of Nina Dobrev’s Career?

The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is allegedly having some serious jealously issues towards his ex-girlfriend, and co-star, Nina Dobrev. However, the jealously isn’t over Nina’s love life, but her career.

Ian Somerhalder is allegedly green with envy over Nina Dobrev’s budding movie career. The gorgeous young brunette has been getting movie offers, and recently starred in the comedy film, Let’s Be Cops, with Damon Wayans Jr.

While The Vampire Diaries is a fan favorite television show, it seems both Ian and Nina want more from their careers, which includes making the transition into movies, which can, and has, been hard for many television actors in the past.

However, Dobrev is 10 years younger than Somerhalder, who probably thinks he needs to get on his game if he’s planning on becoming a serious leading man.

Somerhalder previously campaigned for the role of Christian Grey in the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie, but the part was given to Charlie Hunnam, and later Jamie Dornan when Hunnam dropped out of the film.

Now Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that the Vampire Diaries star is said to be jealous that Dobrev is getting movie roles before he is, which only adds to the alleged feud the former couple has been having.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev split last year, and had remained friends until Ian began dating Twilight actress Nikki Reed.

Nikki reportedly moved in with Ian and began showing her face on the Vampire Diaries set, which allegedly angered Nina Dobrev so much that she was at the point of quitting the show after season 6, which is currently airing on The CW.

Recently there have been talks of Nikki Reed being banned from the Vampire Diaries set, and Somerhalder and Dobrev coming to some sort of a truce, but if Ian is jealous and Nina is fed up it seems that the hit show could end before its time, which is exactly what viewers are afraid will happen.

Meanwhile, it seems that Ian Somerhalder could be leading man material. He’s a good actor, he’s handsome, fans love him, and he’s very big into charities that help the environment and animals.

Ian’s got all the makings of a movie star, he just needs to find the right part to make others see him as a Hollywood leading man.
