‘Batman V Superman’ Filming Moves To Chicago, Locations Revealed


The Batman v Superman filming wraps up in Detroit and moves on to Chicago, Illinois this coming week. Director Zack Snyder, his stars Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ben Affleck (Batman), plus the rest of the cast and crew are packing their bags and heading south.

Detroit has been home for them for the last six-months, during which time Snyder was involved in several scenes filmed in the streets of the Motor City. We spotted Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne for the first time, but we never saw him in action as Batman. We will have to wait for the movie to witness the newcomer.

During their time in Michigan the cast of Batman v Superman was spotted on multiple locations around the city and thanks to some alert fans, who staked the production, the rest of us were kept up to date with all the latest news. We also got our first glimpse at what promises to be one epic Batmobile.

Thanks to Twitter user @Banandoc we took the first look at Henry Cavill, who is returning to reprise his role from Man of Steel in which he plays the Red Caped hero/Clark Kent.

Thanks to hundreds of set photos, fans were able to follow the Batman v Superman filming in Detroit very closely. But now that is coming to an end and as the Motor City says goodbye, Chicago gears up for shooting to start on November 3.

Under the name Crown City Pictures, Batman v Superman filming has secured some permits in the Windy City, according to the website On Location Vacations. Check out the complete list of the first locations that will be used by the Zack Snyder in Chicago, starting next week.

As you may remember, Man of Steel, the prequel to Batman v Superman, was filmed mostly in Illinois and Chicago served as the stage for Metropolis, where the fictional Daily Planet is located. Chicago is also the scene of that epic battle between Superman and General Zod (Michael Shannon), for which Snyder was heavily criticized.
