Ryan Gosling Facial Hair

Ryan Gosling Reveals ‘Nice Guys’ Mustache [Photo]

Ryan Gosling recently grew a mustache for his role in the upcoming film The Nice Guys. Depending upon who you ask, the facial hair is either a plus or a definite minus.

Since Gosling is the sort of actor who dedicates himself to whatever role he decides to tackle, the guy allowed his upper lip to become quite hairy before filming the aforementioned flick. Helmed by Iron Man 3 director Shane Black, The Nice Guys tells the story of washed-up porn star tasked with unraveling a conspiracy.

Although most guys couldn’t grow this kind of “pornstache” and not get turned down by the ladies on a regular basis, Ryan Gosling rocks the look with surprising ease. In fact, GQ believes it’s only a matter of time before other fellas attempt to join the so-called “creepwave” club. However, this writer strongly suggests against it.

Regardless, the magazine seems smitten with Gosling’s facial hair.

“This should by no means work or be the slightest bit handsome, but if anyone can rock the kind of ‘stache normally reserved for dudes in unmarked white vans and still make it look sexy as hell, it’s Ry-Go. Maybe it’s just that he looks so kidnap-y that it’s giving us Stockholm Syndrome.”

Not surprisingly, news of Ryan Gosling’s mustache spread pretty quickly through social media. While a lot of people are perfectly happy with the hunky actor’s new look, others can’t wait for the guy to take a razor to his face. Behold the Twitter reactions below.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Ryan Gosling has rocked a mustache for the big screen. The actor previously allowed his facial hair to run wild for the 2007 indie comedy Lars and the Real Girl. Unfamiliar with this movie? Check out the trailer below. If you like what you see, give the movie a shot. This writer definitely thinks it’s worth a look.

Here’s the immortal question: What do you think of Ryan Gosling’s mustache?
