Muslim Teacher Accused Of Sexually Abusing Students, Girls Allegedly Required Surgical Repair Of Genitals

Muslim teacher Tariq Ahmad, 35, is accused of sexually assaulting students from the Nur-UI-Islam Academy in Cooper City, Florida. Police officers in the state have been unable to locate the teacher accused of sexually assaulting two young teens girls. The former students were allegedly injured so badly during the sexual assault by their teacher they had to undergo “substantial surgical repair” of their genitals.

Tariq Ahmad remains under investigation for the sexual assaults which allegedly occurred at the Nur-UI-Islam Academy. The two former student victims filed a civil lawsuit against the Muslim teacher out of frustration with a lack of response from school officials. The Florida teacher is accused of forcing the students, then aged 14 and 15, into ongoing sexual relationships.

“He would use the chalk board to arrange for times and places to meet victims after school,” attorney Michael Dolce told the media.

The attorneys for the two young women maintain that officials at the Nur-UI-Islam Academy knew the Muslim teacher as sexually assaulting students for years and refused to do anything about the situation until now that a lawsuit has been filed.

“They knew in 2008. What do they do? Absolutely nothing, except accuse the kid of doing it. What do they do, they blame, they cover up, they don’t tell the parents,” attorney Scott Mager added.

Adults only became aware of the alleged sexual abuse by the Muslim teacher after the parent of one of the students caught the girl on the phone with the educator late one evening. The parents said the incident was immediately brought to the attention of Nur-UI-Islam school officials, but no response to the complaint was forthcoming, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed against the Muslim teacher also contended that the Florida Islamic school, “maintained Tariq Ahmad in his capacity as a teacher and continued to cloak him with the authority and prestige as being the head of its high school and continued to allow him unfettered and unmonitored access to vulnerable children.”

Nur-UI-Islam Academy attorney Yasir Billoo told the Orlando Sentinel that the alleged sexual abuse did not happen on school property. Late last week, the Islamic school issued a release that stated, “the Academy immediately suspended the teacher’s employment, barred him from any further contact with Academy students and has since terminated his employment with the Academy,” after learning about the sexual abuse allegations – via the lawsuit. The Broward State Attorney’s Office is still reviewing the claims and evidence in the case.

What do you think about the Muslim teacher allegedly sexually abusing his students and the matter going unreported for years until a lawsuit was filed?
