Erica Mena: ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Doesn’t Want Engagement To Rapper Bow Wow Shown On Television
Erica Mena is thrilled to be engaged to rapper Bow Wow, and the Love & Hip Hop star wants everyone to know it — just not on her popular reality show.
The reality star recently announced her engagement, but said another recent breakup has scared her away from putting so much of her own life on television.
It was somewhat of a surprise when Mena announced that she and the 106 & Park host were getting married, but anyone who follows Mena on social media already knows that the two are very much in love. Though they kept the relationship quiet for quite a while, Erica Mena and the rapper (whose real name is Shad Moss) are all about big displays of affection.
The pair have been sharing many Instagram photos, including a recent shot that showed Bow Wow wearing an image of Erica on his socks.
“Daddy at work today #MenaMondays,” Erica captioned the photo.
Bow Wow also posted an Instagram video showing himself with Erica just before they part ways, with Erica laying a seductive kiss on his neck.

The pair also shared a cute picture of a family lunch that included Erica’s son.
But fans hoping to see Erica Mena and Shad Moss together on Love & Hip Hop will be disappointed. In light of the recent and very public breakup between Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa, Mena said she wants her relationship to remain private.
“[Rose’s divorce] helps me realize that when you’re in the spotlight, you have to protect what’s yours so much more than the average person. And I think that’s why a lot of people will be surprised to know that my fianc won’t be on Love Hip Hip.”
“I’m just pro-saving what’s mine and keeping it away from the world,” she shared. “When it’s time — right situation, right whatever — maybe we’ll consider it, but I really want to protect this one. This one is like everything I need, everything I want, he’s my world. Sometimes you can’t really show the world your world.”
So it seems fans who want to follow Erica Mena and Shad Moss in their wedding planning will have to stick to Instagram.
