Teresa Giudice Reportedly Petrified She’ll Go Bald In Prison Without Her Hair Extensions

Teresa Giudice literally finds herself in the news headlines daily at the moment, which will probably come as some kind of comfort for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who is looking at a hefty 15 month prison sentence, starting in January.

While for anyone who has never served time in prison before, it stands to reason that the prospect of being incarcerated and away from one’s loved ones may be a daunting one, but for a RHONJ star like Teresa, it’s more than just a little daunting.

Despite Teresa Giudice’s recent interview with Andy Cohen’s, Watch What Happens Live, where she claimed she wasn’t too high-maintenance for prison, saying she’d simply “slick her hair back” and deal with it, it turns out that she has had a breakdown over the prospect of not having her hair extensions in jail.

An inside source spoke to Radar Online, who reported the allegations today, saying,

“Yes, Teresa has had her attorney inquire about keeping the hair extensions. She will need to take out her extensions before beginning her prison sentence. She would have probably been able to keep the extensions, but there would have been no way to manage the upkeep. Even though the prisons that Teresa could go to have beauty salons, the special skills needed to manage the extensions just aren’t available.”

It seems that the main issue for Teresa is that, as with many ladies of her age group, she tends to look a little balding without her much loved hair extensions as her real hair is “actually very, very thin,” according to the insider.

The source added that it isn’t just that Teresa Giudice wants to look her best and to retain some level of dignity while in prison. The thing she is most petrified of is that by the time she leaves jail after 15 months, she will have “gone bald.”

While it’s clear from recent photos of Teresa that she does indeed have a receding hairline, she reportedly spends tens of thousands of dollars a year on the upkeep of her extensions as they need to be reapplied every two months, according to the source.
