Selena Gomez was a surprise arrival when she went backstage at Shania Twain’s “Still The One” show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The 49-year-old veteran star and 22-year-old actress-singer posed for photos with singer-songwriter Matthew Koma.
After their meet, the five-time Grammy Award winner, tweeted,
“What a great surprise to have @SelenaGomez and @matthewkoma come to the show last night! #ShaniaInVegas.”

Selena revealed her appreciation for Twain earlier this month, when she posted the cover art for Shania’s “Greatest Hits” album, paused on the track, “Don’t be stupid (You Know I Love You).”
According to her Instagram, the Latina drove to Las Vegas with friends.
During the road trip, Selena shared photos and close-ups of herself posing in the desert.
One of which she captioned, “behind the scenes.”
It’s unclear whether the reveals are for a photo shoot which will be unveiled, or just Gomez chronicling her adventure.

Days before her Vegas jaunt, the pop princess was spotted enjoying the rides at Knott’s Berry Farm theme park in Buena Park, California, with pals and her father, Ricardo Gomez.
The Texas belle has hit headlines over in recent weeks following her split with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber, after unfollowing him on Instagram and posting tweets suggesting their latest reunion was over.
Rumors that the starlet is furious with the Canadian heartthrob, cemented after Selena was snapped at LAX airport in Los Angeles with Justin’s nemesis, actor Orlando Bloom, last Monday.
The pair were headed to the We Day youth empowerment event in Vancouver, Canada, which Gomez hosted and Bloom was a guest speaker at.
While dating rumors have been denied by a source and the actor, it is likely Bieber would have been upset by the sight of the Brit with his former girlfriend.
Bloom, famously, tried to punch Bieber back in July in a bar in Ibiza, Spain, reportedly over the singer’s rumored past flirtation with Orlando’s ex-wife — the supermodel Miranda Kerr.
Selena and Justin reportedly broke up after he took pal model Kendall Jenner to lunch in Paris, when all three were in town for Fashion Week. Gomez, notably, fell out with Jenner during their April Coachella Festival visit.
Meanwhile, a snap of Selena in a recording studio has surfaced. It comes amid news of a new song.
According to the database at ASCAP — the performing rights organization which licenses and collects royalties for song performances — the track is co-written by Gomez, Antonina Armato, and husband Tim James from the Rock Mafia songwriting/production team as well as David Jost.
It’s very possible “Do It” will be one of the two new songs expected on Selena’s reportedly November 24-dropping “Greatest Hits” album, For You. The album will be her final output under Disney’s Hollywood Records, having now inked a new deal with Interscope Records last month.
The starlet recently thrilled her fans by teasing next month’s music release, and shots from a mystery photo shoot.
To E! News, Selena recently promised, “At the beginning of the year, I posted a picture for a secret project and that time is coming. I’m so excited,”
“Honestly, it’s good. It’s music-related and I’m very, very excited. It will be very, very soon.”
Over the past few days, Selena shared a photo of herself and members of Trigger Street Productions. The company is the brainchild of Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti.
They produced House of Cards, The Social Network, and Captain Phillips.
“Trigger Street family. Exciting things to come. @sammyrayedroke #producermode ),” the young entertainer wrote.
She may be referring to “The Sky Is Everywhere,” a drama based on the eponymous book authored by Jandy Nelson. Gomez is named as a producer at IMDb.
“Hey @e_l_James, look who’s holding your vintage. @selenagomez great seeing you and the gang again. Fun times to come. #TriggerStreet,” Brunetti noted next to another pic.
With or without Justin Bieber, the future for Selena Gomez looks very bright indeed.
