Liam Payne, One Direction Earned Roughly $150 Every 60 Seconds In 2013

Liam Payne and the One Direction boys made quite a bit of money over the course of 2013. Although that’s really not shocking or surprising, the amount of cold, hard cash the guys earned last year will definitely make your bank account pale in comparison.

Brace yourself… now.

Since 1D had an album, a movie, and a tour to promote last year, Payne and his pals were essentially printing money every single second. According to The Independent, the band made a whopping £49 million (roughly $78.8 million) in 2013. Since the folks running the aforementioned website want everyone to feel insanely inadequate about their respective incomes, they decided to break down their earnings by the minute.

Once you crunch the numbers, Payne and company made £93 per minute in 2013. When you convert that into Stateside currency, you get approximately $149.64.

So how much did Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan take home at the end of the day? Reports suggest that the fellas each cashed a check for roughly £5.6 million, which is about $9 million if you brought it over to the United States. In other words, Payne and the boys aren’t hurting for money. At all.

The National Ledger reports that the 1D singers are presently the richest British stars under the age of 30. Since the guys starting belting out tunes and wooing the masses, they’ve earned a whopping £77.5 million ($124.6 million). Considering the heartthrobs aren’t finished raking in the cash, expect that number to grow during 2015.

Of course, Liam Payne and his fellow singers aren’t the only fresh-faced youngsters in Britain making a ton of cash these days. Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the wildly-successful Harry Potter franchise, landed in second place with £63.5 million. Since One Direction earned their money together, Radcliffe feels as a little ripped off.

“There’s five of them! That doesn’t count! Not that I care but I am definitely first!”

If you live in the United States and you want to help Liam Payne and his buddies earn even more money, then you can catch them on tour next year.
