Fans ‘Shake It Off’ To Taylor Swift’s Hit As Contest Entries Abound on GMA: Great Videos

ABC’s Good Morning America decided to host a grand contest where viewers send in their own version of Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off.” ABC News reveals that GMA has received hundreds of entries from extremely creative viewers from elaborate costumes to “full-blown choreographed” dance routines, making them fun for all who watch.

Some contestants also sent in touching stories to coincide with their “Shake it Off” video submission. GMA gives us a taste of what they are seeing in the quote from Sydney Westwick of Catonsville, Maryland, and as well as a montage of some of the videos they’ve received.

“This song has inspired us to never get too upset about bad days because we know you can always ‘Shake It Off’ and have another chance.”

Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” has hit home with another contestant, Rachel Ward from Portland Oregon, per GMA.

“It has taught me not to let anyone’s opinions affect me, and to have fun and be myself because in the end the outlook I have on myself is what matters the most. If you spend your life trying to impress other people to try and fit in, you won’t end up being the person you truly are.”

It seems like Taylor Swift did a great job in getting her message out in this song. Taylor’s inspiration derived from the recent years of ugly rumors and gossip encircling her. She has had to learn to take the high road, and not let it bring her down. She tells ABC News about the inspiration behind her hit “Shake it Off.”

“People can say whatever they want about us at any time and we cannot control that. The only thing we can control is our reaction to that. I figure that we have two options: You can either let it get to you, let it change you, let it make you bitter or not trust people. Or you can descend into insanity if you want. Option two is you just shake it off.”

An audience full of young girls cheered after Taylor’s statement. Taylor Swift is quite the role model for today’s young girls. Never let ’em bring you down. ” Shake it Off!”

Taylor Swift will be performing “Shake it Off” in Time Square Thursday, October 30, and will be aired live on Good Morning America. ABC News reports that GMA’s grand prize winner of their Ultimate “Shake ut Off” With Taylor Swift Contest will be a VIP at the concert.

However, if you can’t wait until then to see Taylor Swift perform her hit “Shake it Off,” Hollywood Life reveals her super sassy live performance of that very song on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Check it out here!
