Taylor Swift Accidentally Releases 8 Seconds Of ‘White Nose’, The ‘Song’ Tops Canadian iTunes

The music world sure is a crazy one. Fans of singing sensation Taylor Swift proved it by sending her latest song to the top of Canadian iTunes chart. The only glitch is, the song was just eight seconds of white noise.

To say that Taylor Swift fans are excited for the singer’s new album 1989 to be released on Oct. 27, would be a gross understatement. How else would you justify a track containing nothing but eight seconds of white noise – which was accidentally released under the album’s name on Tuesday morning – shooting to the top of Canada’s iTunes chart almost immediately? What’s even more bizarre was the fact that the song was pay-per-view and even that didn’t deter the eager fans.

The release of the audio file, entitled “Track 3,” was reportedly the result of an iTunes glitch, but that didn’t stop excited fans from shelling out $1.29 to download the song. Confused fans, took to the social media and many chose to ask Taylor Swift directly, for clarification.

The song which was eagerly picked-up by fans could be attributed to the fact that Taylor Swift did actually release a full single from her new album 1989, yesterday. However, that song is complete and has been climbing the chart steadily.

Needless to say, anything from Taylor Swift is considered audio gold by her fans. The”other” legitimate single, called “Welcome to New York,” is currently sitting at No. 2 on the Canadian iTunes chart. If that’s not all, Canadians have strongly proven to be the No. 1 fans of Taylor, since the second chart-buster is followed by Swift’s first single from 1989, “Shake It off’.”

Interestingly, “Track 3” still tops the charts, though it is no longer available for download. But, neither Taylor Swift nor Apple has come forth with a logical explanation. Moreover, Apple hasn’t clarified, if it will reimburse the money paid by Taylor Swift aficionados to access, what is clearly a technical glitch. Apple isn’t liable to, since the purchases are voluntary. Angry and confused fans posted a few tweets that summarized the situation. Incidentally, this isn’t the first time such an anomaly has occurred regarding Taylor Swift’s content on iTunes.

Taylor Swift has been in the news for many reasons. She even lashed out to the media, when her ex-boyfriends’ names were thrown around. The singer recently even confessed that men have always been aggressively attracted towards her. However, one thing’s for certain, the singing diva is worshiped religiously and any production, be it nothing but static, is lapped up.
