Matt Barnes has separated from his reality-star wife, Gloria Govan. According to the latest published report by TMZ, the pair is separating over trust issues and could be headed for divorce soon. The couple, who recently worked together on set for the movie Chocolate City, was said to be getting along well. The latest news of their separation is surprising to people who know the couple well. News of their divorce on yesterday after Clippers NBA player Matt Barnes thanked Living Spaces for helping furnish his new place.

Sister to Sister Magazine was one of the first sites to break the news. Basketball Wives‘ Gloria Govan tried to squash rumors of their current separation and impending divorce by posting a photo of her posed with Matt Barnes’ sister on her social media account, Gossip Wives revealed.
Fans aren’t buying it. The relationship between the Clippers player and his Basketball Wives chica has been on the down slope for years. Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan, who officially married in 2012, have a history of make-ups and break-ups along the way.
Taking a brief look back, it seems that the famous celebrity couple’s relationship started to show signs of wear and tear as early as 2010 when Matt Barnes went on the record to say how much he despised the Basketball Wives show, stating that his then fiancee Gloria Govan had reservations about participating in Shaunie’s show but decided to do it anyway. According to Barnes, he was against the show the from the very first episode.
That same year, Matt Barnes was arrested for domestic violence. The victim, who resided with Matt Barnes in the 8100 block of Sunset Avenue, was listed as his live-in-girlfriend. Sources say the only live-in-girlfriend that he had at the time was his fiancee, Gloria Govan.
The Inquisitr reported a former split between the two in 2011, after rumors that Matt Barnes was dating Eva Longoria made news headlines. Matt Barnes has always denied that their was a romantic relationship with Longoria, stating instead that it was Gloria Govan who had cheated with a friend.
Gloria Govan has insisted that her husband, Matt Barnes, was never physically abusive toward her. The couple shares twin boys.
