Nicole Eggert Goes From ‘Baywatch’ To Strange New Job — You’ll Never Believe What It Is

You might remember Nicole Eggert as Summer Wilson from Baywatch — a role that she played from 1992 to 1994 on the once-popular program. But unfortunately for Eggert, after Baywatch ended she didn’t share the same charmed career trajectory as co-star Pamela Anderson, or even the yo-yoing arc of David Hasselhof. Instead, Nicole is backing away from the sex appeal Baywatch thrived on to the bring something else to the beach — ice cream.

Eggert is now running and operating a family business that sells ice cream along the California boardwalk. Scoops Ice Cream Company sells a selection of everything from gourmet ice cream cones to root beer floats — a large reach that Nicole might need to say afloat despite her past role as a Baywatch lifeguard. Eggert filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy on Sept. 10 2013 for her third time in less than 12 months, reported Radar Online. Nicole had been rejected by a federal judge the previous two times she had filed, claiming total assets of just under $1.1 million and total annual expenses of just over $800,000. But can an ice cream truck save Eggert from her post-Baywatch slump?

If you live in the Los Angeles area, you’ll have to follow Nicole’s Scoop accounts on Instagram and Twitter to find out where the ice cream truck is going to be every day. The former-celebrity-running-an-ice-cream-truck novelty might bring in some new business to Eggert’s dessert-on-wheels business, but she’ll have to serve up some good ice cream to compete with all the other trucks in the area. Eggert describes her new business as “an old-fashioned malt shop meets a modern ice cream stop” also adding that Scoops is a “family- run business bringing a fun, unique, and innovative twist to the ice cream man.”

In addition to her work on Baywatch, Eggert was also a recurring character on Who’s The Boss? in the ’80s as a friend of Alyssa Milano. Although Nicole’s role on Baywatch ended in 1994, it buoyed her career all the way into the 2000s by securing her spots on reality competition programs like Splash and Celebrity Fit Club. Even they are just throwaway appearances on reality TV shows, it is this notoriety that Eggert is undoubtedly hoping will attract customers to her new ice cream truck venture — even potential customers that may be too young to remember a time when Baywatch was on the air.
