NeNe Leakes Salary Bump: ‘RHOA’ Star Reportedly Gets Huge Raise For Season 7
Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is apparently going to be living larger than ever after Bravo dished up some serious cash to entice her to stick around for Season 7 of RHOA. Spoilers indicate it’s going to be quite a wild season, and it seems Leakes is right in the thick of it all once again. What’s the scoop on NeNe’s payday?
According to Radar Online, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes will now become the network’s highest paid star. Sources indicate that she’ll earn $1.5 for Season 7 of RHOA, which is believed to be substantially more than any of her fellow Atlanta stars are paid. Though there have been times where fans thought perhaps Leakes would leave the show (as she does have other projects she’s involved with as well), it seems Bravo is anxious to keep her and they’re willing to do whatever it takes to convince her to stay.
Leakes hasn’t been shy about calling her paycheck “okay” in the past, even indicating that she didn’t know if she was getting paid enough to put up with all of the drama. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast has changed quite a bit throughout the seasons, with more shifts in the cast ahead for Season 7. It seems that NeNe told Bravo what they needed to offer up to keep her around and the two sides struck a deal.
As RHOA fans have seen, Porsha Stewart was demoted for Season 7, but Kenya Moore is still a full housewife. NeNe Leakes will, of course, be front-and-center this season. However, there is plenty of drama to go around and it seems Leakes will have many opportunities to roll her eyes as the other RHOA women whip up trouble. Bravo teases Real Housewives of Atlanta spoilers that Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida will have quite the encounter as he discovers she may be moving on. Cynthia and NeNe will try to repair their relationship, but it may not come back together again. All-in-all, it’s going to be a season fans won’t want to miss.
