Stephen Collins’ Wife Wants Money, Plus Lifetime Movie Fans Devastated

Stephen Collins’ wife, Faye Grant, just wants money for the child molestation sex admission tape, and has been trying to sell the tape for years, according to Stephen Collins’ lawyer. In the latest exclusive report by TMZ, Stephen Collins’ lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told TMZ the following.

“Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled. When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted — without success — to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape — not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled.”

Stephen Collins wife actress Faye Grant stated to E! News that she had nothing to do with the release of the confession, and that she was shocked to wake up to news that the Stephen Collins audiotape had been made public, according to USA Today.

“I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press.”

Collins, who had filed for divorce from his wife of almost 30 years in 2012, can be heard on the audiotape admitting to touching one 10-year-old girl over the course of three years. Stephen Collins’ estranged wife, Faye Grant, who can also be heard on the tape, sounds devastated while talking about the molestation. She also seems to make sure that Collins’ statements are accurately documented, even making the actor back up and repeat several times what he told her about the molestations. The supposed sexual molestations occurred decades ago.

Fans were shocked on Tuesday when TMZ published a recording of a Stephen Collins admitting to molesting some underage girls during a therapy session that took place years ago. Lifetime movie fans have stated that they are devastated by the news, and that their entire childhood had been ruined by the disturbing child molestation allegations. Stephen Collins is best known for the role he played on 7th Heaven, but true old movie fans remember the actor for his NBC and CBS television movies that aired in the mid 1990s, before airing later on Lifetime. In the movie The Babysitter’s Seduction, Collins plays a husband and father who has an affair with an underage high school babysitter. That movie was based on a true story, according to the Movies Based On True Stories Archives.

In light of the allegations, Stephen Collins has resigned from the Screen Actors Guild Board and was fired from Ted 2, Inquisitr previously reported. Recent reports of a single gunshot heard at the actors home prompted suspicion that Stephen Collins had committed suicide, but the actor was not home at the time, according to USA Today.
