Teresa Giudice Divorce: Joe ‘Screwed Over’ Teresa, ‘RHONJ’ Stars Ready To Split?

Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, were sentenced to prison on Thursday, and sources say that their marriage is now on the line. According to Radar Online, sources close to Teresa say that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star feels completely “screwed over” by her husband, and is blaming him for getting her into this mess. Now that she has been sentenced to 15 months behind bars, everything is starting to unravel — and she might end up ending her marriage before she goes to prison.

“At the hearing, Teresa said through clenched teeth that she feels like Joe had royally screwed her over. According to Teresa, she only went along with what Joe told her to do. She isn’t smart enough to come up with a scheme to milk hundreds of thousands of dollars from banks!”

Teresa Giudice will have to start her prison sentence by January. She will serve 15 months (or a little less based on the “truth in sentencing act”), while Joe stays home with the couple’s four daughters. When Teresa is finished serving her time, Joe will turn himself in and will serve a little less than 41 months in prison. After that, he faces a deportation hearing, and could find himself with a one way ticket back to Italy.

According to The Inquisitr, Teresa and Joe’s children are handling the news the best that they can. Of course, they are all different ages so their levels of understanding are different, but 13-year-old Gia Giudice took to Twitter on Thursday night and said that she had an incredible support system. That was definitely a good sign, because this process won’t get any easier for the kids.

As for why Teresa Giudice was sentenced to prison, Judge Esther Salas told her that it was her lack of being forthcoming with information that she was required to provide to the court that landed her behind bars. Teresa didn’t have the materials and paperwork that she was supposed to have by her court date — and it’s not like she didn’t have time. She had months to prepare and to get things in order. The judge took Teresa’s unpreparedness as a sign of disrespect.

“For a moment I thought about probation. I don’t honestly believe you understand or respect the law. I need to send a message. In the eye of the law, it doesn’t matter who you are. There are consequences to pay,” said Judge Salas.

Now, Teresa Giudice must decide what she’s going to do about her marriage. If she stays with Joe, it’s going to be a struggle for the next several years. If she doesn’t she will have to find a way to make things work. It’s definitely going to be a challenge. Do you think Joe and Teresa will stay married through their respective prison sentences?
