Kris Jenner Divorce: ‘KUWTK’ Momager Looks Happy After Filing To End Marriage
Kris Jenner certainly didn’t look like a woman who had just filed to divorce her husband, Bruce Jenner. After the Keeping Up with the Kardashians momager confirmed pulling the plug on her marriage Monday, she was seen beaming in Los Angeles.
After Kris and Bruce spent over a year apart, the 58-year-old head of the Kardashian-Jenner clan filed legal papers to divorce her husband of 22 years.
And shortly after signing on the dotted line, Kris was seen walking through LAX with ample smiles for photogs. Like she does when posing for glamor magazine snaps, Kris Jenner looked amazing, not the image of a sulking dame facing a broken marriage, citing a Just Jared report.
Kris looked chic as usual. At the airport, she sported a pair of dark sunglasses, a knee-length white trench-style coat, black leggings and a matching pair of ankle boots. And to complete her comfy post-divorce-filing ensemble, her bling was simply a necklace and cross.
Kris Jenner’s divorce from Bruce Jenner came after heightened speculation over the possibility the pair would reconcile; they had been seen out together several times since splitting last June.
The Kris Jenner-Bruce Jenner divorce news comes on the heels of rumors that Bruce was seen in Spanx recently, was interested in cross-dressing and allegedly going under the knife to have his Adam’s apple shaved down. There was also the occasional tabloid talk that suggested Jenner was taking estrogen for man-boobs and had taken to shaving his legs. Heck, the great Joe Namath did that, but it wasn’t a question of his sexuality.
On their reality TV series, Kris and Bruce appeared to be growing distant by the minute. Many thought their increasing intolerance of one another was simply the growing pains of being married for over two decades. Nonetheless, the writing was on the wall, and when the troubled couple, parents to Kendall Jenner, 18, and Kylie Jenner, 17, called a timeout in the marriage, it was only a matter of time before one of them filed for divorce. Kris took the leap of faith first.
Bruce and Kris Jenner’s decision to call it quits for good doesn’t mean things are ending with tension. In fact, insiders say the pair is cordial and the divorce is amicable. Apparently, with 11 months behind them since deciding to live apart, Kris and Bruce appear to have worked out the obligatory issues: spousal support and the division of assets.
Since both their children together are beyond the age of spousal support in the state of California, there’s no issue there. Additionally, it seems they’ve already agreed on the split of property, which is subject to approval by a judge or magistrate in divorce court.
With Kris Jenner’s filing of divorce, perhaps it’s time Kim Kardashian took cues from her momager on how to end a marriage in style.
