isn’t the only guy who gets to don a uber-cool costume for Zack Snyder’s forthcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel — it appears that a fancy super-suit is also in the cards for Russell Crowe, who’s starring in film as the ill-fated Jor-El.
Thanks to the trusty spies over at Daily Mail who captured the following photo (seen below), we get to a see a preview of the 47-year-old actor decked out in a flowing robe and cape, with shoulder pads and the familiar “S” emblem on his breastplate.
Underneath Jor-El’s outer armor we see glimpses of a tight-fighting bodysuit similar to the one worn by Cavill, right down to texture which some of referred to as the “basketball” aesthetic of Sony’s Spider-Man reboot.
In addition to Crowe and Cavill, Synder’s Superman remake boasts a star-studded lineup including Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Antje Traue as Faora, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick and Christopher Meloni as Col.
Man of Steel is scheduled to hit theatres on June 14, 2013.
