Williams’ wife said that he had been in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease and had been battling depression at the time of his suicide in August. Ellen’s video and people’s reaction to it just proves that Williams will live on in the hearts of his fans for a long, long time. Even weeks after his passing, both the media and his fans are still paying tribute to his special genius and his impact on all of us.

No matter how many days, weeks, months or years pass, I can never forget the beautiful impact this actor had on my childhood #RobinWilliams — =MajorTom= (@mjgurganus) September 12, 2014
Ellen also honored Joan Rivers. And even Ellen wasn’t safe from Ms. Rivers’ acerbic humor.
DeGeneres introduced the segment honoring Rivers and Williams by saying, “This week I’ve been talking about a lot of things that happened while we were on our break. There were two things that broke my heart. We lost two comic legends. Joan Rivers passed away last week. She was a pioneer. She had an incredibly long, successful career and…she left us too soon. And of course we lost Robin Williams. Every time he was here, he made me laugh so hard,” she said. “He was really one of a kind, and I’m thankful I got to call him a friend.”
Ellen’s first week back from her summer vacation was a busy one. Besides the tributes to Williams and Rivers, DeGeneres did a hilarious spoof of Nicki Manaj’s “Anaconda” video, seen here in The Inquisitr.
