Phaedra Parks Divorcing Apollo Nida: When Will He Be Served Divorce Papers? [Video]

After a whirlwind of rumors and speculations, Phaedra Parks is divorcing Apollo Nida. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s last exchange with Nida was the last straw. The day he was supposed begin his eight-year prison sentence, went nuts on Phaedra instead. She apparently refuses to put money in his account and isn’t willing to let their sons visit him in prison, which sent Apollo over the edge.

A source tells Radaronline that Phaedra has had enough, and she’s divorcing Apollo.

“Phaedra has been patiently waiting for Apollo to begin serving his prison sentence, and will have him served with divorce papers at the correctional facility in Kentucky.”

Nida will get divorce papers from Parks now that he’s in prison, the insider shares.

“There was no way Phaedra was going to put her life on hold for the next decade, awaiting Apollo to be released. The marriage was a huge mistake, but did give her their beloved kids. There were serious trust issues with Apollo, and Phaedra suspects he has been unfaithful, and has been burning through money. Phaedra has always been the breadwinner, and she began to resent it.”

Apollo Nida was supposed to report by noon Wednesday at FMC Lexington prison in Kentucky, but rushed over to Phaedra’s and “ran around the house like a lunatic,” another source says.

Phaedra Parks has been ready to divorce Apollo for a while now, but the timing was never right. Now she’s feeling “a huge level of comfort and security” knowing he’s behind bars, the source adds.

Parks’ rep, Steve Honig, confirmed Thursday that Apollo burst into the house very upset with Phaedra on Wednesday. He didn’t elaborate on details, but he revealed that she’s doing what’s right for her now.

“She is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

As for Apollo, he finally did turn himself over to authorities on Thursday. He released a video to his fans after he was checked in. TMZ posted the footage and confirmed the Real Housewives husband is in prison.

“Well everyone I have finally arrived at the penitentiary. I am about to go asunder, thank you for the support and prayer. Stay tuned, and you’ll hear from me shortly.”

A separate Radaronline report exclusively reports that Nida is now at the prison facility, according to Executive Assistant of FMC Lexington, Kenny Coleman.

“I can confirm that he is here,” Coleman confirms.

When asked if Apollo Nida will be punished for arriving a day late than he should have, Coleman simply said it wasn’t something he “can discuss at this time.”

It’s unknown when Phaedra Parks will have divorce papers served to Apollo Nida in Kentucky. Going by appearances, Parks isn’t wasting much time getting troublesome matters taken care. It’s a waiting game at this moment.
