Emma Stone Gets Blunt Haircut Ahead Of ‘Cabaret’ Debut
The Amazing Spider-Man actress Emma Stone is debuting a new blunt bob hairstyle. The actress debuted her cut at the 71st Venice Film Festival. Dressed in a Valentino Couture gown, Stone’s new bob was accented nicely.
This drastic new look comes just days after it was announced that she was making her broadway debut in Cabaret. Currently Michelle Williams is starring in the show with Alan Cumming as the Emcee. That said, come November Stone will take over to play Sally Bowles until the remainder of the show’s run.
The haircut is significant because the character of Sally Bowles is known for her short hair. It was expected that Emma Stone would chop her hair off for the role, but we didn’t think the bob would make a red carpet debut like it has.
So far people seem to be reacting positively to Emma Stone’s new ‘do.

As for Cabaret, according to Playbill Emma was originally in talks to play Sally Bowles, but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. Williams stepped in to play the role and has been in the production since March. When Emma hits the stage she will step up on November 11, which is only two days after Michelle Williams takes her final bow in the revival of the revival production.
Initially the run of Cabaret was supposed to end in August, but then both Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams extended their contracts. Williams extended to November while Cumming pushed his to January. As we reported, now that Stone has signed on Cumming has extended yet again until March 29.
So far people seem excited about Stone’s upcoming broadway debut.
