BET Denies Beyonce Had 106 And Park Shut Down After Blue Ivy Joke

After Beyoncé’s show-stopping performance during the 2014 VMAs, one could not help but to be in awe of the camera shots of adorable daughter Blue Ivy jamming to her music.

The 2-year old and father, Jay Z, joined Queen Bey on stage immediately following her 15 minute medley of hits. Jay Z presented the “greatest living entertainer” with the Video Vanguard Award, an honor bestowed for only for the cream of the crop in music.

According to Rolling Stone, She joins the ranks of past recipients like Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson.

Blue Ivy’s hair, which has been an cruel, ongoing topic for people who clearly need a life, was worn naturally in kinks and curls with a cute pin to accompany the curls. Criticizing black hair in its natural state is nothing new in society, but when you criticize a 2-year old’s hair, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Maybe Beyoncé’s daughter is tender headed or maybe she does not take well to ponytails and braids. Who knows? Who cares!

But someone should explain that to BET since they thought it would be genius to diss the baby’s hair during a segment on 106 and Park.

Karrueche Tran, the on and off girlfriend of singer Chris Brown, was a guest host on the BET show Monday. During the segment, Tran read from a teleprompter with a joke about Blue Ivy’s hair. The segment was about the “top 6 things Blue Ivy thought about the VMAs.”

“I really did wake up like this because my parents never combed my hair!”

Tran immediately followed up with a “Sorry, Blue!”

Tran has been subjected to all types of insults, death wishes and bullying from the BeyHive, Beygency-whatever they call themselves. She left a few tweets and Instagram messages reiterating her regret.

And then again.

And one more time, addressing death wishes and other bad karma for disrespecting Queen Bey, Princess Blue and King Jay Z on Instagram.

One overzealous fan went so far as to set up a Whitehouse.gov petition to have Tran deported!

Needless to say, Tran will not be back on 106 and Park no time.

That’s if the show even exists!

Sources say the show was shut down temporarily for the rest of the week and producer, Stephen Hill, has been suspended.

Hill issued a series to apologies to The Carters and Tran via Twitter as well.

However, other sources at Complex are saying that the hiatus of 106 and Park was planned by BET, according to host Shad Moss aka Bow Wow.

The show was not on at its regular time yesterday evening. According to The Urban Daily, the hiatus was on the books for months, though they did not provide a reason as to why.

But it is interesting how the show was halted immediately following the insults to Beyoncé’s family.

No one cannot overlook the influence and power Jay Z and Beyoncé have. According to Celebrity Net Worth, together the two are rumored to be worth nearly $1 billion. It’s almost considered voodoo to say anything about the super star couple. Even though Beyoncé and Jay Z are still battling divorce rumors, it should not surprise anyone if their influence put the show on the back burner.

Though we may never know for sure, do not expect to see 106 and Park on television for the next couple of weeks. Until then, Karrueche Tran will need to find another job.

Frankly, we’re still trying to figure out what she does for a living anyway.
