Leah Calvert’s Husband Jeremy Goes After Her Ex-Husband Over Ali
Teen Mom star Leah Calvert has been focusing on her daughter’s health for quite some time and fans are seeing how her entire storyline on the show is all about Ali and her wheelchair drama. They have been trying to get the insurance to cover the wheelchair and they currently have a loaner chair, so Ali can learn how to drive it. But the families have had different options as to whether this chair is a good idea.
Leah and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, have both tried everything possible to get the wheelchair for Ali, who has a rare form of muscular dystrophy. But Ali’s father, Corey Simms, hasn’t been working too hard on getting the chair out of pure fear. He doesn’t want Ali to become dependent on the wheelchair. But Leah wants it sooner rather than later.
According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, Teen Mom star Leah Calvert was happy to learn that Corey wanted to bring the twins to the zoo on yesterday’s episode of the show, because he has been slow in accepting the wheelchair. Ali would be using the chair on the trip. Corey has always believed that Ali was strong enough to overcome the pain of her muscular dystrophy.
But Leah Calvert’s husband Jeremy doesn’t think that Corey is being realistic about his daughter’s diagnosis. Jeremy is furious that Corey isn’t pushing for answers from the insurance company. “As soon as you got denied, ask a question, ask somebody, ‘Why you doing this, why’s this going on. Answer me my question.’ Don’t just say, ‘Oh, well thank you, have a great day,'” Jeremy explained to Calvert, in frustration over Corey’s lack of action with the insurance company. “Ain’t gonna find nothing out by not asking. I’m pretty frustrated that we still have the loaner wheelchair, myself,” he added.
Of course, Leah has been trying to push Simms to get more aggressive with the insurance company. But Calvert has been dealing with her own issues on top of everything. She gave birth to her third daughter last year, according to The Inquisitr. In addition, she has been taking prescription drugs to deal with her anxiety over working, taking care of three daughters and stressing out over Ali’s pain.
At one point, Calvert almost passed out while filming Teen Mom and the episode did highlight the dangers of abusing prescription drugs. Leah Calvert realized that the pills were making her feel horrible and decided to stop using them. She was highly criticized on social media for taking prescription pills to deal with her anxiety, especially when she is taking care of her youngest daughter.
