Samsung Epic 4G Touch Finally Reaches Sprint Wireless, Delivers WiMax


The Samsung Epic 4G Touch has made it’s way to Sprint Wireless and the company has discounted the $499 smartphone with Google Android to just $199 with the signing of a two-year contract that includes data.

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor that powers a 4.52″ Super AMOLED display and both 3G and 4G capabilities. Other connectivity options include WiMAX support, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 along with a microUSB port that supports MHL HDMI for easy HDTV hookup.

The phone also offers an 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash which is capable of recording in 1080p Full HD and a front facing 2-megapixel camera for video calling.

Some Samsung fans will also enjoy the TouchWiz UI for Android which isn’t necessarily the best addition to the mobile OS but some users enjoy the programs ease of use.
