Maroon 5’s ‘Moves Like Jagger’ As A Lullaby!? Listen Here

Maroon 5 just released the remix of their new single “Maps,” a collaboration with rapper Big Sean; but now the internet has another Maroon 5 remix to feast on. This remix sort of went the opposite direction as “Maps,” turning Maroon 5’s hit song “Moves Like Jagger” into a lullaby.

According to People, the website Rockabye Baby has completely revamped the Maroon 5 track, turning a funky, electric-guitar fueled rock fest into a tender, sleepy time song for children and babies. The original Maroon 5 song had its instruments removed and replaced with the gentler sounds of bells, marimbas, xylophones and woodblocks. You can listen to the remixed version of Maroon 5’s song in the video below, along with a sneak peak of the music video, featuring some adorable animations of a celebrity teddy bear channeling Adam Levine himself. You can see the teddy bear spin around in the Maroon 5 singer’s infamous chair from The Voice, walk the red carpet, and even give a stage performance.

Of course, Levine’s famous high pitched vocals were removed, meaning none of Maroon 5’s original lyrics remain. But the melody and backing tracks from “Moves Like Jagger” are still intact and totally recognizable for fans of Maroon 5.

“Moves Like Jagger” is actually only one lullaby rendition of Maroon 5 songs. It will be featured on a full length album of Maroon 5 lullabies recreated by Rockabye Baby. The album will be available on August 19 of this year.

The lullaby Maroon 5 songs actually came at the perfect time for lead singer Adam Levine. He just got married to model Behati Prinsloo, and according to Hollywood Life, they are definitely planning on having a baby.

“I have no expectations,” Prinsloo explained. “Not in a bad way, but I’ve learned that you can’t plan ahead. I live day by day and see what happens. It’s vague, but I like it that way.”

Maybe the new baby will someday fall asleep to the lullaby sounds of Maroon 5, the music made by his or her own father.

Rockabye Baby is going a lot of lullaby renditions of popular songs, including Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” and David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” You can listen to their other lullaby covers in addition to Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” at their website.

What do you think of the lullaby “Moves Like Jagger?” Is it an improvement from the original Maroon 5 song? Or do you miss Levine’s vocals?
