Liam Payne and the rest of One Direction have been hard at work on the their new album. In fact, the fellas have contributed a lot of material to the upcoming record.
Although Payne and the boys contributed quite a bit to their last studio outing, Midnight Memories, they still had some help in the songwriting department. For their next endeavor, Liam revealed that 1D penned the majority of the tunes.
According to Digital Spy, Liam Payne discussed the band’s contributions during a recent chat with the folks at the Today show. Unfortunately, we still don’t know when One Direction intends to share their latest collection of songs with the masses. However, this writer believes something will probably arrive before the end of the year.
“We’ve all taken a hand in the writing this time. We’ve literally written almost every song.”
Niall Horan also had some positive things to say about the record.
“I think it’s going to be a little bit more edgy. We feel like we’ve got some really good songs.”
MTV News explains that Payne and the guys are still a little amazed by how many people show up to watch them perform onstage these days. While Niall chose the word “unbelievable” to describe the experience, Liam decided that “amazing” would do the trick.
“I remember I sat watching the Super Bowl thinking, ‘How are we going to get on stage and play to that many people?’ It’s amazing, but our fans are so amazing every single night and it’s nice to play to a crowd that genuinely love you, it’s amazing.”
Payne believes the new album will lure a number of dudes to their shows when they tour in support of the release next year. The Inquisitr previously reported that Liam firmly believes the new tracks are very guy friendly. Of course, whether they can win more male fans with the record is very much up in the air.
“People say we don’t work hard and it’s all a game and whatever. We just wanna make good music, and this album — honestly, every lad out there tonight who’s thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album — pick up our album and see what you feel.”
Are you surprised that Liam Payne and the One Direction fellas wrote the majority of the songs on the new album? Will you snag a copy as soon as it arrives?
