Lauryn Hill Lectures And Removes Fan From Show, Says: ‘I Don’t Give A Rat’s A**’

Lauryn Hill has never been a person to mince words, usually getting straight to the point when it comes to sharing the things on her mind.

And her recent concert in Chicago was no exception, but this time Hill took things far, maybe too far…

A video clip, which has gone a little viral, shows Hill in a kind of argument with the fan, who she accused of heckling her on July 16, and ended up telling security to remove the offender.

Unfortunately, the video doesn’t show what the alleged heckler said or did to get Lauryn Hill’s goat, just her reaction to him.

Even though the incident caused some awkward vibes at the concert, Hill felt justified in her comments: “I don’t play that. I don’t need to win you over and you don’t need to win me over. I do this because I love it, not because I owe you anything. You understand that? I do this because I love it. You can get on your blogs and you can tweet and say whatever you want to. I don’t give a rat’s a-.”

Addressing security staff from the stage, on the mic, Hill said: “Excuse me, excuse me, there’s a gentlemen over there who just did something I don’t like. Can you please escort him out and refund him his money?”

It is suspected that the heckler shouted something about the fact that Lauryn Hill showed up on stage nearly an hour late at the House of Blues in Chicago. A point well made as performers often arrive late for their own shows, leaving fans standing and waiting, having paid good money.

In keeping with her recent lateness for events, Lauryn Hill also showed up late for her Brooklyn Bowl show in New York on July 28, even though when she did finally hit the stage the crowd apparently went wild and there wasn’t even one heckler in sight.
