Ellen DeGeneres Divorce: Will A New Baby Save The Marriage With Portia?

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have made the news headlines, it seems, every other day recently, with rumors abounding about their alleged imminent divorce.

As with all celebrity rumors, which generally surface due to some “anonymous source,” it’s hard to distinguish between what is true and what is false. Did I say hard? I really meant near impossible!

The latest gossip to be revealed regarding the celebrity couple surrounds apparently bone fide rumors that the pair are to have a baby soon. Portia De Rossi originally claimed she would never have children with Ellen DeGeneres, whom she married with much pomp and ceremony back in 2008.

InTouch magazine, who report often on DeGeneres and De Rossi’s private lives, were told by a source that the couple want to start a new chapter in their lives and put all the divorce rumors behind them.

The source said: “All Portia can talk about is beginning a new chapter in their lives and starting a family,” confirming that Ellen and Portia have already contacted the Center for Surrogate Parenting in California, to discuss the options available to them.

With all the rumors of cheating, drunken arguments and even footage secretly filmed by Portia to expose Ellen, sources believe that the couple can work through those issues, as they have done before, a number of times: “They’ve worked out difficulties in the past, and no doubt they’re trying to work out any problems right now,” the source also told InTouch.

Nevertheless, friends of Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi have confirmed that the couple intend to renew their marriage vows next month, as they celebrate their six year anniversary:

“They both love to celebrate special occasions and holidays, and their wedding anniversary is no different. They usually celebrate with a big party and invite a lot of friends. They really are a lovely couple. They enjoy being married, and it shows,” said the source.

So, it seems, that the media isn’t too sure which way to go with the celebrity couple at the moment as the rumors of arguments and divorce seem to be peppered with more positive rumors, suggesting the couple are patching things up.
